Pete International Airport is an American neo-psychedelia band from Portland, Oregon, formed in 1997[1] by Peter Holmström of The Dandy Warhols and named after the Dandy Warhols song of the same name. Other band members are Jsun Adams (The Upsidedown) on vocals, Collin Hegna (The Brian Jonestown Massacre) on bass guitar, Jason "Plucky" Anchondo (The Warlocks, Spindrift) on drums, and Paulie Pulvirenti, also on drums.[1]
In 2010, they released their debut self-titled album, which Consequence of Sound gave 3½ stars and called a "very mellow, bizarre, and sure-to-be-discussed fall album" and noted that "their weird brand of indie will certainly strike a chord with the crowd that has been building up decade after decade".[2] The Oregonian gave it a "B" rating and compared it to the music of Black Rebel Motorcycle Club,[3] one of the band's musical inspirations.[1] Music videos were produced for three of the album's tracks,[4] including "21 Days", which premiered on Spinner.com on 7 September 2010.[5]
